From hotel reservations to email list scams, we have received many reports from exhibitors receiving solicitations from vendors not affiliated with the Amerimold Expo. Please be aware (and notify your team) that the following scams exist.
Attendee List Scam
Amerimold Show Management is in receipt of reports from exhibitors from fraudulent companies offering to sell an Amerimold Attendee list with email addresses. We would like to remind you that Amerimold Show Management is the ONLY source for this list and it is our corporate policy not to distribute email addresses for our attendees. In fact, the scamming companies have also contacted members of our organization, offering to sell us our list. Amerimold does not rent, sell or distribute email addresses of any of our participants.
Hotel Reservation Scam
Amerimold is in receipt of reports from exhibitors who have been solicited through various third parties to book hotel reservations in Rosemont. Amerimold is NOT working with a third party housing company, and the only way to book a reservation through our room block is by contacting the hotels directly. They would NOT reach out to individual companies.
Additionally, numerous convention bureaus are reporting hundreds of complaints from trade show managers who are receiving similar reports from exhibiting companies who booked rooms through a “third party room broker” and ended up at sold out hotels with no reservations and no recourse for the payment of rooms. These brokers falsely imply they are affiliated with show management and secure deposits and/or full prepayment from exhibiting companies.
